Licensing

The Spectra StorCycle solution is available with two licensing models, a permanent license and an annual subscription. These models give greater flexibility for organizations to choose whether they want to use the StorCycle solution as a capital or operational expenditure.

For each licensing model, four different base licenses are available —Administrator, Workgroup, Data Center, and Enterprise. Each license supports a different quantity of named users, which can use any of the licenses to connect to an unlimited number of primary storage sources and Spectra storage targets. Each StorCycle license provides some free licensing for migrating to the cloud and non-Spectra NAS:

Additional Non-Spectra storage targets (Cloud and NAS storage products not provided by Spectra Logic) can be added for an additional price, based on the number of terabytes (TB) of storage being used.

Notes:

§	The free licensing does not include actual cloud storage costs charged by the cloud storage vendor (for example, Amazon® Web Services®). The customer is responsible for all cloud storage costs.

§	Restore only Active Directory® users (see Configure Active Directory) count against the licensed user limit.

§	The default "Administrator" account is included against the limit, so for example, the Administrator license would allow 2 more users.
