Remove the StorCycle Solution

Windows Server

Use the following instructions to remove the StorCycle solution from a Windows server.

Note:

Program data is not removed with the software.

Use the following instructions to download and install the software.

1.	Sign into Windows with a user that is a member of the "Administrators" Local Group.

2.	Use the keyboard shortcut Windows logo key+R to open the Run window.

3.	In the Open: field enter control admintools and click OK. The Administrative Tools dialog box displays.

4.	Select Services, The Services dialog box displays.

5.	Right-click the Spectra StorCycle service and select Stop.

6.	Run the installer, ssc.revision.msi, where revision is the revision number for the software. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

7.	On the Welcome screen, click Next. The Change, repair, or remove installation screen displays.

8.	Click Remove. A confirmation screen displays.

9.	Click Remove to confirm the removal.

Notes:

§	If you want to move the StorCycle solution to a new directory, delete the ssc.yml file from the C:\ProgramData\Spectra Logic Corporation \Spectra StorCycle\config directory before reinstalling the StorCycle solution.

§	If you want to delete the configuration and history data associated with the StorCycle solution, delete the directory C:\ProgramData\Spectra Logic Corporation\Spectra StorCycle. Once deleted, the information cannot be recovered.

Linux Server

Use the following instructions to remove the StorCycle solution from a Linux server.

Note:

Program data is not removed with the software.

If you are the root user, execute yum erase ssc

If you are a user who has root access, execute sudo yum erase ssc.

You will be prompted to enter the root password.
